I have to concur here. Trying to find the meaning of life or engaging in any sort of quest for enlightenment while still pickling your brain with alcohol is like trying to swim across the English channel with an anvil tied to each ankle. At best, you'll merely be treading water, but most likely, you'll simply sink.
