Scared and pregnant
 

Im hoping no one passes too hard of judgement onto me. I'm new here and about 13 weeks pregnant. I have a horrible habit that's out of control. My husband is gone all of the time for work and has no idea. No one does. I've been taking pills On an off for ten plus years. I'm trying to taper off went three days clean and was so horribly sick and exhausted. I found a friend who gave me some tylenol 3's.I also have a ten year old I homeschool. I refuse to switch to methadone or sub-anything. I know it's better for my baby to do Maintenance but I just want to be done. I'm exhausted and scared out of my wits and afraid if I tell anyone including Drs, then they will take my baby away when it's born...any support would be greatly appreciated. :c020:

Are you going to NA meetings in your area?

You have to get to a Dr. This isn't about you now, it's about the baby.

You are not alone this happens to a lot of people. Glad you came here.

I would absolutely tell your Doctors. They need to know these things, you could be putting your child at risk by not doing so. I can't see them taking your child away if you can get sober. But I don't really know, hopefully someone more knowledgeable can help you.

I agree with the others - please do see your Dr and be honest - I know it's scary but noones going to take your baby away...and it's the baby, and your baby's health& well-being, that needs your focus right now.
