Taking Benadryl Again.......

Hi guys. I'm closing in on two months completely clean and sober, but my allergies have absolutely been horrendous. So tonight I took some Benadryl to help with them. I take it as directed, so this shouldn't be a problem, should it? I mean, it's not like I'll get popped on a drug test for using an antihistamine...... so I don't feel too badly for it. But man, these days..........I can't even take a freakin' Tylenol without feeling guilty! May 1st, I'm cutting out all caffeine as part of a diet I'm going on. (Because it makes you retain water.)

Maybe I'm going overboard in the other direction..........but ANYTHING is better than the way I was before. Thanks for all the support SR. You people have truly been a life-saver for me!

i take benydril at night for both my allergies and a better nights sleep.

Zyrtec works like valium on many people. take it at night.

I took a dose of cold medicine awhile back when I couldn't sleep for a few days and wasn't feeling the best. It knocked me out cold and I got the sleep I needed. I felt extremely guilty also, but if you're not gulping it or drinking it only for the alcohol contained within, I think it's okay when you're using it for the intended purpose (to get better). So calm down, relax, and move on.

Thanks for the replies. But I think when I run out of Benadryl, I'm just going to start taking Reactine.
