Our condition is truly life or death. Suicide after 18 years sober.
 

I was at a meeting tonight called Ten years after. It is a speaker meeting and the speaker always has at least 10 years sober. As you can expect there are some excellent stories told here. Unfortunately tonight it was announced that a fellow AA member **** himself in the head. He wrote a note before he did it that is being framed. The note said that he NEVER once worked the steps, and NEVER once was honest.

Please, if your struggling, get help. You don't have to do this alone. We love you.

Regardless of what he did or didn't do, thats so sad...

This is tragic and my heart goes out to anyone desperate enough to go through with suicide.

If anyone is having suicidal thoughts, you must get professional help immediately. Call emergency services, call your therapist, call your doctor, communicate with your family and friends.
