When I was first detoxing for sure...I spent a few nights just lying there, terrified, but after a few days my body got the sleep it needed
I hope it won't take you a few days Anew - try to relax as much as you can

See if you can meditate and calm your mind. Try not to think any thoughts of your past...Or of anything you have to do in the future. Just try and clear your head. It's a great time for prayer.
I went through this big time. This is how I addressed it. I chose a bedtime that fits the rest of my life obligations. Stopped using any stimulants like caffeine or chocolate after 3 PM.
Before bed I'd do something that would get my mind off my life. Read a totally silly humor book, play mahjong on my computer, something like that.
Then lie down, turn out the lights and do a gratitude list in my head. The gratitude list has been the key. I pick an area of my life and go into great detail over what I am grateful for. Like the objects in my room. Or just go through my day. Whatever.
And in time I overcame my sleep terror to a huge extent. And I still tend to do a gratitude list when I snuggle down. It's become a healthy habit.
