Down the drain

I flushed what was left of my pot down the toilet this morning. I had tried to do it yesterday and couldn't and today I said f*&^ it and just did it. I am always obsessing about when I can smoke etc and it seems to be the only thing on my mind. I started smoking because I didn't have any pills anymore, and it just took over.

Dee- I'm not really doing much recovery. It's like I have my toe in the water but I just need to freaking jump off the dock!!

I have been thinking about summer and my lake vacations without drinking. On one hand I will really miss it and not sure I can do it, but on the other hand I will be able to wake right up and jump on the jetski or walk my dog in the forest etc with no hangover and that sounds nice.

It's so scary to think of a life with just me- no substances.

Take the leap of faith, Aeo. It's worth it.

Good for you for flushing the pot.

You can do it as there are many who do and those are the ones to hang out with and connect with. It weird how smoking pot was such a social event for me. So much of my social life had it involved. It is just so subtle, MJ, but it really takes effect on the emotions and personality. Time heals and a MJ addiction takes some months and dedication. You may want to also throw out your pipe, papers and bong as having those still around are unecessary.

Happy to hear another wanting to lay down the mother nature

We find out soon that life is the best substance to use.

That is a HUGE accomplishment, you should be proud of yourself. I also have an addiction to POT and I just couldn't imagine just flushing it. Thankfully I haven't been in possession of weed and have been clean of that substance for 5 months, so I don't have to make that decision. Lately alcohol has been my demon. I'm 3 days completely sober and counting

It is scary aeo - but look around - none of us feel we lost out

I think you know - you need to do something different - the way you've been living just isn't working, is it?

I'm glad you flushed it aeo....Try and take it one day at a time...It's easier to wrap your head around than a lifetime....Just don't drink or use for today. The days add up. Trust me. Maybe you should check out an AA meeting...Hang around with some people with a lot of One Day at a Times.
