Think I've underestimated my habit
Finished work avoided drinking buddies, and now feel like crap!
I never drink in the day but drink at least 6-8 cans or pints every night and more at weekends.
This is my first 24 hours sober and withdrawals are kicking in wish I'd never let it get this far.
I feel sick, itchy, anxious.
I am determined not to drink and I won't, but feel rough not hungover just weird.
This toxic sh1t should be banned, but no the government make too much tax from people's missery (rant over lol)
Gonna have a hot bath and try and watch a film

My hubby went for a few beers after work and I'd normally meet him. Instead at home cooking dinner and on here! Very unusual Friday night but trying to imagine how great I'll feel tomorrow morning. It's tough though..
Stick with it Deanlad & Newatthis (and others)... I had just about forgot how much the darn ichy feeling sucks.
You really have to work hard at your sobriety in the beginning, but once the basic cycles are broken and you replace the 'drinking time' with some good healthy living\activities you will know you've made the right choice. It's really the only choice. In the first 3 months I looked at all alcohol as if it should be illegal, but now I don't even think about it... it'd just just be a waste of my money\time\life etc.
