TOPIC: Seeing Red or Your Choice

I guess Im in that mood to want to post topics. :)

Im seeing lots of red these days. Red, as in my backyard.
It may sound like I like red, and I definitely do. Turquoise
too. :)

As i sit in my backyard I see quite a few Hummingbird
feeders filled with red syrup. Im not sure where most
Hummingbirds go during the Summer other than down
here in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Last yr. we had 10 to
15 feeding in my yard and it was awesome.

Besides the Red Ruby Hummingbirds, I have various
red plants, Lilies, red roof bird feeder. Red Red Red.
Oh and not to forget all the red I have inside my home. :)

Anyway, I was wondering what you have lots of? A
collection of something. Music, pictures, books, bikes,
motorcycles, rocks, marbles, lights, lamps, etc.

A hobby of some sort or collection?

Green....like my swimming pool right now (ha)! It's always great to welcome back the spring. As you know, here in the South, the grass turns brown over the winter, so it's a huge change when spring comes.

Your post reminds me of how many little things we notice when we get sober. I'm so grateful for that. Thanks for the reminder!:thanks

I LOVE the combination of red and turquoise, Sharon! Your back yard sounds like heaven.

What do I have a lot of? Hmmm .... clothes. I've always loved clothes and since I've lost over 40 pounds since I got sober, I'm having a BLAST buying fun, new stuff. The clothes rod in my closet is beginning to sag, however ... oh, and shoes. Gawd, I love shoes. :D And coats ... you can never have too many coats when you live in Wyoming.

We love watching movies around here, so we have lots of DVDs. I'm a HUGE Clint Eastwood fan so I have lots of "Clint collectibles" around here too. My oldest son is a musician so we also have lots of guitars. I have a lot of rock band memorabilia, especially Def Leppard, my favorite band in the world ("Desert Song" is one of my favorites of theirs). Lots of books too ... I'm the only reader in the family but it's amazing how many books I've collected over the years.

I've been a horsewoman my whole life, so there is lots of horsey stuff around here ... figurines, paintings, photos, and riding stuff like saddles, halters, etc.

Ummm ... geez, I have a lot of stuff. Maybe too much. lol

I make jewelry in my free time so I have a huge collection of beads, wire, metal, tools, kiln, torches, etc. not to mention hundreds of pieces of finished jewelry.

Sitting in my backyard yesterday I told my
husband that never did I imagine I would sitting
on a glider chair next to him overlooking
our lovely backyard. I told him that to me
our backyard was like Heaven on Earth.

Ive lived in a hand full of places in my life,
6 to be exact, and this home i told my husband
will be my last stop on Earth God Willing.

My sober way of life has a hand in making
this home a peaceful, serene place to live.
With each plant I plant, each flower that
blooms, each bird feeder I fill, each weed
I pull, each time I cut, edge, weedeat my
lawn, etc, makes it a paradise in recovery.

Oops I got off track....lol

Thanks guys for chiming in on my topic. :)
It is much appreciated as always.

I also luv jewelry. Unusual jewelry cause
i like being different.

Katrinka, do you sell ur jewelry online?
Id love to see your work and possibly
be interested in buying one of ur creations. :)
