Wow 4 days sober..onto 5

Been sober 4 days now. Have been very very tired and anxious. Will be flying back to Arizona soon, and I'm looking forward to going home. My boyfriend went out tonight, but I declined because I just didn't feel ready. He was okay with that. He had a few vodka and soda's before he left and I had absolutely no desire for one. But the whole going out into the bar scene just made me uncomfortable. I am glad I am starting to figure out my triggers and just say "no, I'm not ready for that". Will be interesting to go home, hopefully I don't get bored and blow this, yet again. I really want to stay off the booze, it is just poison for me, just pure poison. Desperately wanting to stay sober......forever....even though still in the back of my head, is that maybe one day I can just have a few and I will be fine and be able to quit. But I can't believe that, because I am just not wired to only have one or a few drinks. I just can't......

my advice Jaynee is don't hope...just do

we get out of our recovery what we put into it - there's no reason for you to drink again of you're committed to not doing that

congrats on 4 days

D

Lots of us can't have just one or two.
That's ok. Like you said it is pure poison. It will never be your friend. Good for you on 4 days. Keep moving forward & don't look back.
There is life after alcohell.

Good going on four days, and avoiding the temptation of going to a bar.
I've found, once I get past the 4th day things get easier. That's not saying it's not going to be easy, but you're off to a good start. Keep at it.

Alcohol is poison to me too.

Best to you on your journey.
