Both of the groups I found were amazing. One group was very kind and even gave me a copy of the Aa big book for free.
a lot of them weren't even alcoholics so I feel more like I fit in.
I feel like I did something huge for myself today.
maybe ill make it this time.

I woke up this morning and went to my 3rd meeting.
I plan on another one at noon.
Is there any kind of special reading I should do first in the big book?

Hey WarriorQueen... I would suggest finding another woman in the program who you like and feel comfortable with.. ask her to help you and start working the program. Meetings are wonderful.. and they help keep me sober... but, it is working the program that helps me the most and working with other drunks..

Start at page 1 .... I thought that book was written just for me and I couldn't put it down.

And by 1 he means Roman Numeral 1

Don't skip the roman numerals....there's some vital stuff in there. Assuming you have a current edition BB, the 4th edition, start at roman numeral 11 (XI). The Preface... after that come the Forwards. I read the forward to the first edition and the forward to the second......the other two don't do much for me. From there, it's on to the Doctor's Opinion and there's a LOT of meat in that section. THEN......then you get to page 1.

Went to meeting 5 today.

5 days clean.

I read a pretty big part of the big book today.
Are there any books that I should read after that one? Should I try to get a temporary sponser for the 2 weeks I'm here?

I personally read the big book all the time, and two others each day Daily Reflections and 24hrs a Day.

Enjoy the new life.
