Nervous
I am new to recovery and am 2 weeks out of inpatient. I slipped on Easter and had some Xanax and Chardonnay. I went to a meeting the following day and found a temporary sponsor. It was nerve wracking but I did it. I missed one meeting yesterday and he is picking me up from my house this morning and driving me to a meeting with him. I'm new to this and a little nervous. But I know I have to do this.
It's normal to be nervous, you're making a big life change, and congratulations for doing so.
Sounds like you're going in the right direction. I relapsed many times, more than I can count, before I started recovering.
Don't be hard on yourself, you're in early sobriety and it's tough, but so worth it.
Keep us posted, and best to you.

Welcome Johnk!
I remember feeling really scared and vulnerable coming out of 30 days of treatment. It can be a really stressful time. I'm glad you have someone to support you right now.
It's normal to feel nervous when we're going in to uncharted territory. Just take it a day at a time and go easy on yourself. It really does get easier as you go along!
