Has Anyone Else Picked Up New Weird Compulsions Since Sobering Up Or Is It Only Me In
This is a neat thread, I'm also obsessed with to-do lists and I will totally write stuff I've already done on them just to cross them off!
I'm obsessed with order in the house. I made a cleaning schedule which hangs up and each day of the week a different room gets scoured top to bottom. (Reflecting on this, it's actually kind of funny that there's a schedule, considering it's only me who does the cleaning. It's not like I can't remember that Mondays are kitchen days, Tuesdays are living room, etc. Why do I need the schedule???)
And I totally freak out if...ok WHEN...my hubs leaves his stuff lying around everywhere. I also created a binder notebook with a year's worth of organizing/decorating projects for the house. Hubs was super-excited when he saw that
My sponsor said it's my control-freak coming out. As long as I don't let my mental well-being for the day depend upon those to-do lists and cleaning, then it's perfectly normal. I'm off to make a list of my neuroses...lol

For me it's "To Do" lists. I keep making them up and make sure I include things I have already accomplished so I have the satisfaction of marking them off. I'm serious, I do like 2-3 a day. May be because I need to assure myself there are things to be done and I can do them. Another is looking in everyone's grocery cart to see if they have booze. And presenting myself to checkers and stuff at the store as to how great everythings going. Like they say "How are you?" and I respond with something dorkish like " Icouldn't be better, life is great, how are you?" If I was next in line behind myself I'd strangle me. I hope to recover from early sobriety. By the way, Life is great, couldn't be better.
To all who don't know about the power of GREEN SMOOTHIES do a bit of research on t'interweb.
Best things to detox with too...
ONWARDS!
