credit cards
For the first time in a long time I put a large amount of money towards my credit cards When I was using all I would complain about is how my credit debt was building but I always told myself "I'll put my next paycheck towards them" and when payday came around I always went and got high and told myself the same thing. I've been clean for almost 3 weeks and have finally made a huge dent in my card card bill It feels so amazing to finally do something about an issue in my life that was causing me stress and anxiety.
I just needed to share with someone that I am finally taking the needed steps to making my life as stressfree as possible
Hope everyone is having a good day!

Well done yellieee. I think sometimes people forget about the money stuff. I had a huge bill to pay last month which, tbh, I probably wouldn't have paid if I was still drinking. It's a major stress off to not have to worry about these things

Thank you for all the support everyone! It feels so good to make the right choices It is so amazing that a bill that was always hanging over my head now seems so manageable. Anyone that has ever had an addiction knows how quickly bills add up. SR never fails to make me smile when I need a pat on the back

i actually sat down and faced how much i was spending on booze when i first quit....i was a cheap drunk, but i drank away what now pays the cable and utility heat/ac power every month. it's like getting a big raise.
Debt and bills and money issues are so stressful especially in early sobriety when the reality of it stings and is harsh. I've got a gun of debt aimed at my head too and it feels so awful so I can't wait to get my sobriety under my belt and get to where you are. Keep it going and let's get out of the negatives and into the positives!!
