I am NOT counting Days anymore
it seems to trip me up, I get sucked into the cult thinking- I have ONE, yes one draft beer then everyone gets on my case and I feel worse and I relapse worse. This is certainly not working for me. From now on it's One Day At A Time- period. It's not a contest, and when I have just one, then I feel like this; all guilty and crappy and want more. I am so mixed up now emotionally, not over the beer, but over peoples' reactions. Does this make sense ?

This recovery isn't a game and if you can't/don't take it seriously then the others fear for your future and find it hard to spend much time on someone who hasn't hit bottom yet.
Go to the oldest, best respected member of your AA group and ask "How the He!! did you do that??" ... then do what he/she did.
I wish you the best.

Hi Robbie,
Cult member here ha ha. Like your post and can definately relate. I do recall being very put off (understatement) at other people making fun of my attemts to quit. I started to wonder why I was telling them in the first place?
Seems now the slogan in AA "To thine own self be true" resonates.
