I am so mixed up now emotionally, not over the beer, but over peoples' reactions. Does this make sense ?
This is what's tripping you up.

Don't blame the others for this scenario. Anyone who cared about you would be watching you like a hawk because it seems you are hanging by a thread.
This recovery isn't a game and if you can't/don't take it seriously then the others fear for your future and find it hard to spend much time on someone who hasn't hit bottom yet.
Go to the oldest, best respected member of your AA group and ask "How the He!! did you do that??" ... then do what he/she did.
I wish you the best.

Thanks Robbie - had been a part of the conversation and had forgotten the original post.

Thumbs up

Hi Robbie,

Cult member here ha ha. Like your post and can definately relate. I do recall being very put off (understatement) at other people making fun of my attemts to quit. I started to wonder why I was telling them in the first place?
Seems now the slogan in AA "To thine own self be true" resonates.
