The positive difference blew me away!
Do you know what is kind of funny/sad? I am pretty certain that if one were to show the before & after photos to general audience, without indicating the 'secret formulae' (eg. a magical diet or exercise regime), many people would be begging you to tell them.
Fact is (the way I've seen it), going off the booze does wonders for non-alcoholics too - but too often it is too much of a 'sacrifice' to make. That's how attached or addicted our society at large is to alcohol.
Anyways, great great job!

People pay serious money for that degree of alteration in their appearance, and it hardly ever looks that good afterwards. Great example of changing the inside first and how it shows externally.
Easy enough to picture the weight loss without the obvious restoration of health. You'd still be a sick pup, just a thin sick pup.
Congratulations, you've a right to be very proud of yourself.
I've seen many people come in dead eyed, crazy and thin and also look far better even if they get a bit heftier after some sober time. Healthy is very attractive on any frame.

You do look fantastic flutter, that's an incredible transformation. You should have entered a bunch of contests where you have to send in your before and after pictures, you would have won them all!
Thanks for sharing that....wonderful to see the changes in you and so inspirational for me. I got my Driver's License renewed last summer and I could not believe when I got the picture...I look so terrible in it. It is amazing because I have been in such denial about that....then you see a really recent picture and it makes you cringe...same thing happened to me on Facebook the other week before I was sober. Wanted a very recent profile picture and tried to take a new one.....no dice...looked terrible any way that I took it. I am still using my one from 1.5 years ago when I was sober for 10 months. I had the same glow you have in your pics and I look forward to having that again. Thank you so much for posting and congratulations for that. If THAT is not positive reinforcement than I have no idea what is.....you look amazing! =)
Geeze, I'm so humbled and grateful for all the responses here. Thank you so much. I was really wary about posting this.. not wanting anyone to think it was a big braggy "Look how great I look", or superficial in any way. I appreciate all of you so much, and I'm a little overwhelmed by the praise and support you've thrown my way. Thank you, thank you.
You really do look great! I quit drinking almost six months ago and the other night I was at a meeting when someone came up to me and told me how much better I look now than when I first came in. I didn't really see it, but realized I have also lost about 10 lbs since then and that I probably do look a lot healthier. It's amazing what happens when we start caring for ourselves.

Flutter you look so great!! I needed to see that because I got up this morning looking at my skin......so not good. Its amazing the impact alcohol has on our insides and outsides. Its poison. Congratulations on health and sobriety!!! I want that!
