I'm not sure that my external appearance looks much different since I've been sober. But my "insides" look a lot better. My doctor (an internal medicine specialist) has described the internal physical changes in me as incredible.
Sobriety has it's benefits!

I would have put money down that those were not the same person. Good for you.
One a side note I bet that I would have won that bet as well given enough time to argue I am sure you agree that you are not the same person you were then.

You look great and this is so inspiring, thanks!! I too am trying to lose weight, by working out and eating healthy (and staying sober of course). I'm not as far along as you so it is so helpful to see the kind of progress I hope to have! Congratulations!!!!

you look great! I knew that red glow, bloated face too. I had moderate HTN and pre-diabetic.
I often tell people to take a weekly picture of themselves just for motivation. you can't see it daily, but week by week. I had also lost 50% of my hair, i remember pulling handfuls out of the shower drain, sink, my blow-dryer. (vodka, wine, cheetos is a not a nutritious diet)

Good stuff, Flutter. It's a night and day comparison. The thing I notice most is how much healthier your skin looks. It has that certain je ne sais quoi. Been waiting for an opportunity to use that. BTW, I'm jealous you get to live in Colorado. I want to buy a house in Nederland or Evergreen as soon as I finish my engineering degree.

You were attractive then but stunning now. My housemate of a few years ago wrote and told me last year that her hair was falling out. I didn't know that this could be due to alcohol abuse.. Your hair lots really vibrant.

You look great! You look so much healthier and happier sober and the weight loss makes you look even prettier. Well done
FWIW, I think getting sober has made me look a lot older. I don't really mind though, I always looked young for my age and now I think I look as old as I am.
But don't expect me to post pics anytime soon. I don't want to be responsible for people's computer monitors cracking because of the ugliness of my mug
