I think I spent the first 10 days furious that I could not drink. I finally decided to quit for 24 hours at a time cause I knew I could do that and the thought of forever was too much.
Now those 24s are adding up. I just hit 90 days which I would have never believed possible. Are things changing, yes but only for the better. I'm finding true happiness, joy and laughter. I'm not going to tell you that its been an easy ride but it is definitely worth it.

Hey Jen, I guess you'll be finishing work soon. Just wanted you to know we're still here

I broke up for school holidays today. I want a beer like you wouldn't believe...not going to have one. And even if that means I spend tonight pacing and crying (yeah, it gets that bad) and we have a miserable evening, I'm goin to see it as an investment. It's going to mean I'm a step closer to being free from this. Another hurdle jumped.

I really hope you feel a bit better this afternoon.

Thank you!! Just had one of the most stressful days ever, an awful child protection case that really got to me. Just got in and put the kettle on instead of diving for the nearest alcohol aisle in the supermarket. Other more serious things filling my thoughts now which makes me thankful for the things in life I've got. Thank you for your ongoing support xxx
