Feelin' good today
I am unsure of what day I am on, but I know it's a little over a week. I find when I count days, it makes it harder for me to not think about alcohol.
Yesterday I did hot yoga... This morning I got up at 5:30 so my daughter and I can go swimming and go out for breakie... Then more hot yoga. Tomorrow, we're going to see the Hunger Games (we both LOVED the series) and have brunch with my ex at his house. I got my car back after being charged with impaired (although I cannot drive it)... I found out I won't be losing my job and start back on Monday (however, I cannot still be an addictions counsellor right now for obvious reasons)... and I will be doing my assessment on Tuesday to enter a 21 day treatment program.
When I told my daughter about my impaired driving charge, I asked her what I could do to make this better for her... She looked at me, with her beautiful grey-blue eyes and said "NEVER drink again..." This is what keeps me going. Right now, I feel great.
Hope everyone enjoys their Saturday.

Glad you feel good....Learn all you can in the treatment program and follow that up with some kind of recovery program...Mine recommended AA and when I left I gave that program my all...I haven't had a drink in 9 months and I have lost the obsession for alcohol...It's worth the effort. I hope you let your daughters wish come true....For you more than anyone else.
