I'll ditto the gorgeous day in Texas!

If all else fails we would love to see you in one of our meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous. I bet Galveston has tons.

Yes that works great for me too! I find that when I "reward" my non drinking that it is habit forming... in a good way! Go buy yourself something nice or eat something that you REALLY enjoy... it's a great way to start re-programming your brain!

Of course fun exists sober Dom - if it didn't I suspect there would be a whole lot less of us here

over the last 5 years I've learned that the last thing I'd want to spend anytime with on a half day off is with alcohol - there's so much other stuff you could do!

Thank you for all of the concerns and advice. I did NOT drink last night, It was definitely tough, but I made it through. I really appreciate the replies. It did help keep me from not drinking. Day 12. Everyone have an awesome Saturday!

Dom,

Congratulations You really flexed an emotional muscle. I know how difficult it can be when a huge craving hits you. You are strong. You can do this. Try and do something nice for yourself as a reward.
