Congrats Dom! The time from after dinner to bedtime is my quicksand too
I'm on day three and have planned activities for the first two days that would take me out of the "normal" pattern that I had fallen into. I know I can't do that forever cuz I'd be broke . But at least for my first week that's my plan!
I have found that just getting away from the house (my bar of choice...always open) has helped reduce my anxiety tremendously! Good luck and keep up the fight!

Congratulations! I am so happy for you, I can't even find the right words to express it! It does take time, they say 30 days to learn a habit, 30 days to unlearn a habit and naturally you feel anxiety and yucky during that whole time! But you can do it! 30 days of yuck as opposed to a lifetime of yuck! And I'll bet you find by the end of each additional week of not drinking, it gets better and better. You are going to make it this time, I agree with everyone else! Brava!
