It's a good morning.
I think I did one step, admitted we were powerless over alcohol, did i get that one right? it's been quite a while, or is that a step? whatever i did, i think it was the first step. I'm trying to quit drinking, not arguing with you or anyone, i'm serious, a little scared, motivated, and glad to be feeling better. what was the second step?

It did work for a while
Look at it this way: If you had broken up with a girl, would sitting around staring at her picture, playing her favorite songs, and reliving the old days help you to get over her? Of course not. But from where I'm sitting, that's exactly what you're doing every time you drink NA beer...
Really glad you came back here. You can do it, but you need to expand your efforts, and accept the fact that your relationship with alcohol has been a complete and utter train wreck, you know?
I know what you mean, Dan, but let's face the facts. For alcoholics like us, something either works, or it doesn't. There's no such thing as something working for a while. And drinking NA beer is no way to get free of this.

That's very doable, I do believe in a higher power for sure, and i actually have preyed (can't even spell it tho) a few times over the last few weeks, but never really before, Thanks Desertsong, i think it would probably take a higher power for me to get sober + SR, you guys have been too kind.

Dan, definitely look out for your health. You are right that seizures and worse can happen. You should consider a medical detox—and please do not hesitate to get emergency help if you feel yourself at risk.
This is not easy, but you will be very grateful you did it. You'll be amazed how much better life gets. Hang in there.
