Make sure you do something fun today. You need to remind yourself that you can still do fun things sober. I'm glad you got through the night

So glad to hear Sissy. Was thinking about you all night. Score for the Sober Team!
Just take it easy, one day at a time.
When you're thoughts start racing about all you "have" to do, remember, staying sober is all you "really have to do"
That's the most important thing. The rest will all work itself out in time. Be patient. Start a recovery program & stay close to SR.
I'm behind you, rooting for you. You can overcome!!!

For some reason the days after I'm hurting the most are usually my most peaceful. It could be that crying out for help is exactly what we need sometimes. We can't do this alone and sometimes we need a little extra push to realize we're not all alone.

I'm glad you are feeling better, Sissy. Life is hard, no doubt. I can absolutely relate to your struggle and hard times. It gets to a point where you wonder, what is next? For me, I take each day and worry about my sobriety and staying sober. It is more important to me than appliances and material items. Don't get me wrong, we need these items, but without my sobriety, the rest doesn't mean that much. I'm glad you persevered and didn't drink. That's what its all about. One day, each day, pushing forward through the difficult times.

ive learned that writing thigns down helps. make a check list of little tasks you want to accomplish. even if they seem dumb, they will occupy your mind and when you are done you will feel as if you accomplished something. you will feel better about yourself knowing that you didnt drink. give it a try.

Very relieved to see you made it over that hurdle, Sissy. I know it must have scared you to be challenged like that. So proud of you for telling us about it and reaching out.

Oh Sissy, don't give up. We all have changes in our lives, and rotten times too. Please don't give in to the 'you know what'. It's a rotten, addictive disease, and you really don't want to go there anymore. Like myself!
