I’ll be six months sober in a couple days, and this morning I made a decision. I plan to take a break from SR for a period. No plans to drink…ever again. However, I may pop in for some DQ’n from time to time.

I’m just not getting a feel good vibe from here of late. The majority of posts I have read lately (and it has been many from various sites) seem to mostly be happy with being sober, surviving and making it through the day…just scratching the surface of happiness, and realizing the potential within.

Once I put a check mark after “staying sober today”… I want the remainder of the day to take my mind and body to new highs. I honestly believe that if I stay sober (yes, still priority #1), believe and live the law of attraction, there literally are no limits.

For me, happiness doesn’t come from just not drinking. I’m not looking to just survive in sobriety…but thrive because of it.
