Smile 15 days

15 days today, I am starting to feel better, think better, had someone even tell me I look bright eyed.

Surprise! That's what happens, it's a gift I still receive @ 9.5 mos. I actually get tired of good friends telling me how great I look, sound, behave. I know!

15 days sober is a miracle and of course theres lots of challenges ahead so that is why we learn to cope with anger resentments and craving with the help of the group of people who share some of the same problems as we do and somehow they have manged to just not drink or use no matter what

That's brilliant. I'm also on day 15 after a spectacular binge which put me in hospital. I cannot carry on that way so this is the beginning of the rest of my life.

thanks everyone for the encouraging words. Today I have been really emotional, I know this is probly normal since I have been numb for so long. Getting on here and hearing your kind words helps alot.

Oh and FWIW I was an emotional rollercoaster for the first few months sober. Mood swings were a common occurrence, but they do settle down after a while.
