Scared!!!

I have been taking 3-4 Lortab 10's for about a year now. I have scoliosis and sometimes I need something to get me thru the day. I realized though I have been taking them because they make me feel good and I want to stop NOW! I have flushed what pills I had left so I'm quitting cold turkey. Just wondering how bad the withdrawals are gonna be? I realize this dose isnt as high as some, but it's still an addiction.

Any insight and encouragement would be appreciated.

Were you taking them prescribed by a doctor?

Welcome abw -

It's really good that you realize how addictive the pills are and want to stop before it gets worse (as it usually does with any addiction). So many people have developed the same issues, so don't feel ashamed.

It's probably best that you talk to the doctor who prescribed the pain meds and be honest about how much you've been taking. (Chances are, they'll admire you for this, as they usually see the folks who are trying to get the pills, not stop them!). Hopefully this doctor can help you decide the best way to minimize any withdrawal symptoms........

This is a great place for support - glad you've joined us!

Yes, do talk to your dr and let him know what you're doing.

I'm glad you made the decision to live a sober life. :)
