2 firsts today
41 days sober, 29 days in AA.
-Had my first drinking dream last night since I got sober. Very vivid, and I can remember getting mad at myself in the dream for having gotten drunk. Woke up in my bed still mad, it took me a minute, but I realized it was dream and that I hadnt drank...was a great feeling.
-First near altercation in a AA meeting Ive attended. The misguided individual was obviously not sober, but did leave on his own after creating a ruckus. Guess it was a good wake up/reminder, cause rest of meeting was all really good shares.
Hope everyone else here on SR is having a good wknd!

Not a good idea to go to an AA meeting drunk.
Don't drink.

Call sponsor before you think you should drink.
Never call sponsor when you're Drunk.
Your sponsor can get you un-drunk

Yeah Shane...I had those drinking dreams early on...Not a lot...But when I woke up from them it was a good reminder how bad I wanted this thing...They do get less and go away with time....Keep coming back..Don't drink for today and work those steps...That's all you have to do...

The general feeling with my buddies and HG regarding attending a meeting drunk is this: if that's what it takes to get you to a meeting, Welcome. Causing a scene however is frowned upon though, but comes with the territory. Hate to admit it but I've gone to meetings drunk before. In hindsight, it was a desperate cry for help.
Got to love them Drunk Dreams! Best part is realizing that I really didn't do all those horrible things, naked! lol
