I just called 2 detox centers, but no one answered, it went to voicemail. I dont know why anyone would run a detox center then not have people to answer the phone. Its rather frustrating as the free detox and then this site was my recovery plan

This is open 24/7....You might have to wait till morning...Could try a couple more....It might just be too late at night...You don't need to go to the ER now do you? I assume you have some alcohol in your system?

I didn't have insurance my first time and there was a state funded detox the local ER recommended. I didn't like it but it got me clean.

Try calling back tomorrow. I'll call my stepsister and ask for suggestions...all I know is she lives near where they film "Law & Order", one of my favorite shows. Hang with us tonight...I will go to sleep, eventually, but I've been on here in the middle of the night and someone was always here.

I have faith that you can do this? I just want to make sure you don't die trying.

Yes, i have alcohol in my system so i will be okay for the night. I caled 311 (a hotline in NYC) hopefully they can advise me. Ive been on hold for awhile. Wow, theres alot of us suffering. If i dont get through to anyone im just gona go to the hospital tomorrow after work. I cant really complain about the money, my stool is white so i know im in some bad shape. Everyones right, i cant fix my problem if im drunk. I need detox, supervised detox

I got through to someone, im going to low cost detox!!!! We just have to see when i can get in. Hopefully tomorrow!!!!!!

YESSSSSS im getting help. The hospital placed me in front and are clearing out a bed for me. I'll have a bed in detox by saturday morning (next saturday)

Its next saturday. I wish it was sooner but they dont have a bed available til then. They originally told me it was a few months waiting period but when i talked to the counselor, he said i'll have a bed in 1 week maximum. Our goal is to admit me by thursday. I just have to tell my boss im going on vacation. EEEkkk, im scared

Well just take it easy this week...That's great they can get you in that quickly...You can kill some time after work reading and posting here...Get some support...This is a great thing you're doing...You should be proud of yourself...You have a whole new life ahead of you..
