How does sobriety and recovery feel?

If you are wondering how it feels....should I take that leap of faith....will it be worth it....I say a resounding yes! I can not really put it into words how it has changed my life...I had to find a song. The Eagle and the Hawk plus Lyrics - YouTube
I know that it is rather ironic that it is one of his songs.....he battled alcoholism his entire life.
I hope that you make the leap of faith. Choose living over surviving. You will not regret it.
Peace
Dave

yeah - until i experienced that joy of being present for my own life, i had no idea!

i was like the embryo in Rumi's poem"

Think how it is to have a conversation with an embryo.
You might say, ‘the world outside is vast and intricate.
there are wheatfields and mountain passes,
and orchards in bloom.

At night there are millions of galaxies, and in sunlight
the beauty of friends dancing at a wedding.’

you ask the embryo why he or she stays cooped up
in the dark with eyes closed.
Listen to the answer:

“There is no ‘other world’
I only know what I’ve experienced.
You must be hallucinating.”

I didn't know it was possible to go through a day pretty much feeling alright, content, and happy. Now I do.

Thanks for sharing this awesome song.
