Sapling, you mentioned you were able to get 10 months on self-restraint, which is a pretty impressive length of time to go on just a firm decision.

Many never even see that long by stopping forever and ever, so don't sell your accomplishment short. My personal best doing that was almost 4 months. I'd be very proud to have been tough enough to go 10 months on just a firm and irrevocable decision.

I admire anyone who's tough enough to do what I found impossible to do for very long at all.

Like I said...I was a basket case...I wouldn't recommend it to anyone...If you can...Learn from my mistakes...I made them all...

Also I should mention..I had a little encouragement from my wife at the time...Being threatened daily that she would leave me if I drank.....Which she ended up doing.
