glad you didn't drink Eh... but make sure you learn from this.

1. You got past it this time.....that's great but I'm pretty sure you don't want to continue going on being tested like that again though, do you?

2. I know you're only on day 3 but it's times like that when a recovery PROGRAM would have come in handy.

3. Online fellowship is great but real-life fellowships can be more helpful.....it's nice to have "recovery buddies" to hang with, talk to and be accountable to.

4. The best way I know to deal with anxiety, nervousness and so forth is to not be in the position where that stuff can take hold......which takes me right back to #2 above. I used to take anti-anxiety meds and Xanax to help take the edge off......now, working the AA program does the same job those pills used to do - but it does it much better, much more reliably, and the effects of working the program last longer than taking a pill.

I'd look at the whole situation as a warning-shot. It's time to step things up so you're prepared the next time you get part of the day off or some other form of good news - that you might ordinarily be inclined to make into bad news....
