Wow. I keep reading about alcohol dreams but never thought I would have one. A simple dream. I was just cooking with a beer at the side of the stove. Then there was another beer.

So it was only a two beer dream, but it lasted only about a nanosecond.

I'm a binge drinker even in my dreams!

Missy I had a few of those in my first two weeks, I found them A Good Thing, as the temporary remorse I had on waking up, reminded me why I dont want to drink any more.

It is always a good feeling to wake up and realize that it was only a dream. The dreams helped me to realize just how much I wanted to stay sober.

My interpretation of that is that you've finally been abstinent long enough that your subconcious brain has taken notice and is trying to make sense of it.

I had soooo many my first few months - but I was a daily drinker too.

I hear ya, I get them every now and then. Some are okay some are awful. But in any event I dont mind them AT ALL. Because I love waking up to realize they are just that a dream.

Even when I was sober several years I occasionally had them.

Few and far between, but they would still unnerve me a tad.

Man I'm about 55 days dry now and had my first alcohol dream a week ago and it was so vivid and real.
In the dream I went to the liquor store and purchased a fifth of vodka then twisted the cap off and took a drink. I VIVIDLY remember feeling extremely intoxicated like I was ready for my stomach to be pumped.
The fact that I was even getting drunk in my dreams is enough to realize the dangers of drinking when you have a problem.. Crazy stuff

Yea I just had a dream this week that I went to a night club with 2 drinking friends and was getting drunk, 5 months pregnant mind you. I felt horrible when I woke up like how could I?? Then I realized it was a dream and said thank you God!

A buddy of mine is so supportive of my sobriety that he had a dream that I was drinking the other night! What are friends for?

I think last night was the first night I didnt have one. I havent had a drink in 6 days.
