First post and thank you for all taking time to be here
Hello everyone.
Just found this forum today. I have read a lot on here and decided this is where I need to be.
I began to quit last Thursday, but have still managed to screw up each day. I have been a heavy drinker for way to long and realized I have lost everything twice over now.
I am looking forward getting to know you and hear your advice on making a success of this.
If I don't start my health will completely shot. It isn't good now and declining everyday.
Thank you for being here.

Happy to be here for you, Praying, and hope we can be of help. It is never too late to decide you want a better life.
I personally have tried to quit many, many times but what made a difference for me this time was having a program to work and a strong support network. Are you building those things for yourself? They will make all the difference.
Glad you're here.

Prayingtoquit,
Welcome to SR!!!! This place has been instrumental in keeping me sober for six months. I thought I was hopeless....if I can quit anyone can. Take care and keep reading and posting. You are not alone - we understand.

Hang in there and don't be afraid to see a dr or go to the ER if you need to. You won't begin to see anything change until you stop drinking all together. It is tough but will make all the difference in the long run.
