Reading advice for a newbie
I am new here and just getting started. I used to think that I kind of "maybe" had a problem. I started my day off today looking for some resources to modify my drinking. An afternoon on this site has led me to the realization that the things I do (never being able to stop once I start drinking, sneak drinking, hiding the amount of my drinking, pre-drinking before going out to "ease my nerves", drinking alone to "relax", etc) should qualify me as an alcoholic. I realize now that I will likely never be able to modify my drinking and need to quit all together. What I am looking for is any books that were helpful or NOT helpful to you when you decided to quit drinking.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

This. You need a program of action. For me it is AA. For a good relatable read though I highly recommend Living Sober Sucks, But Living Drunk Sucks More by Mark Tuschel.
