It's 11:15pm in NY and i'm ending my 6th day of sobriety. However, parts of my body still itch and I keep feeling things crawling on me. what's driving me crazy the most is the fact that I keep having these on again off again headaches. how long will these last?

Headaches are pretty common - but the bug thing is pretty unusual at 6 days in my experience.

You might want to see a Dr about both those things - just to be safe

It's probably relative to how long/much were you drinking. I was a complete mess for 4-5 days into my detox. As for the headaches, all you can do is ride them out. Are you eating/drinking enough? If your a smoker like I am, try to go easy.

Bottom line is this; detoxing sucks so you may as well just buckle up and enjoy the ride.

I remember getting harsh headaches in the first or second week. My doc told me it was because I was alcohol was relaxing my body and without it, it didn't know what to do. Definitely see your doc as mine helPed me find healthy ways of dealing with it.
