8 days in...

8 days in, and for the first time in a few years, I woke up this morning without fatty liver pains. It's nice to not have to ignore an uncomfortable feeling. It's like finally getting a bad toothache fixed. A constant, never ending nag finally gone!

So excited!

Yeah...That sucks...My nurse in rehab told me it takes about 3 months for your liver to get back to normal...I wish that was true for your brain...Keep it up. It gets better every day.

So far so good. It has been a daily battle. I think about alcohol all throughout the day, have had dreams about it. But as the days go by I'm less and less compelled to stop at the Circle K on the way home. Another positive to build on!

I still think it's a good idea for everyone to get checked out by their Doctor, but I know how appealing that idea can be....

I'm just glad you're feeling better Krass

I've been to my doctor many many times in the last year. All my tests came back negative, aside from the fatty infiltration. I'm just now acting on his advice. Took me long enough! LOL

Congrats on 8 days! And a little pat on the back for myself for finally figuring out where the liver is actually located!! lol After reading your post I googled where liver pain would be and I'll be darned! It's located much higher than I though!

Keep up the good work!

The first few weeks are the hardest, but the more time you get under your belt, the easier it is to resist.
And you never have to detox, withdrawal again.
Keep posting!
