question please to british people

has anyone had any dealings with the state funded alcohol recovery services in the uk and in particular lifeline

Don't know if it's different in Scotland but I just started seeing someone from Signpost and he seems pretty good. I just phoned up and referred myself. Got an initial assessment and then first meeting set up pretty quickly. He's also referred me to a state funded alcohol counsellor as well.
