It's been a while...
Tomorrow is 3 weeks sober for me...and although I am not tempted to drink, this afternoon I was really feeling stuck in a rut, like life felt really empty.
So I went to my first AA meeting in a few months this evening, and really feel so much better! More positive, high on life vibe. I was glad to see a few new faces, and more people around my age (late 20's). Forced myself to stay after and chat to a few people which was great as I have been really isolating myself recently...and am always a bit of a loner. I am very lucky to have a lovely girlfriend who is very supportive and does not drink, but feel like I have no real friends anymore, as all they want to do is party. So I am going to focus on making new friends in AA.
My new mission is to find a sponsor and start working the steps.
