Almost bought coke today...
He's blocked now (after about 4 more texts)! Thanks, everyone, for your support...it means a lot.
Bob36, good to see another NOLA person around! I didn't even participate in parade stuff this year - was too concerned about being around all of my drunk friends, etc...but I still feel like I achieved something huge by staying sober through one of the drunkest events on the planet!
and yes, newleaves, coke is definitely some evil stuff!
thanks again, everyone!

Hey man great job on staying sober today. What i did with my drug dealer was go on the verizon website and block his number. He cant call you, you cant call him. Obviously you can find another phone but its one more barrier between the two of you.

Hey, DG
Lived in New Orleans for 20 years and totally u understand the challenge of staying sober during that time.
A Big congrats you way.
For me, if I wasn't have cocked and stoned by the time Zulu hit St. Charles, I wasn't doing it right.
I do know that NOLA has a tremendous recovery community. I hope you are involved. There used to be a great meeting at True Brew in the Warehouse District.
Thanks for posting and, again, tremendous job.
