Got a Temp Sponsor

19 days sober

I went to my first meeting ever last Friday. Revisiting same meeting tonight, I talked to some of the people Ive gotten to know over last week, and got a temp sponsor.

First we talked about maybe one of the older guys who have years & years in the program as a potential sponsor, and I may still go that route, but my now temp sponsor is gonna help get me started for now. He seems like a real good dude. And Im glad to get started officially, I was kinda stuck on the how to get a sponsor and start the steps...

Anyways, thx for all the support here. Just wanted to share that...think I may do a 2nd thread about 90 in 90.

Congrats ShaneW...That's a big step.....Real quick about the 90 meetings in 90 days....That's not in the Big Book...Some sponsor somewhere came up with that....Or in some rehab somewhere....But a lot recommend it....Shows commitment....What lengths you are willing to go to..Myself...I'd do it whether your sponsor tells you to or not. Just do what he tells you. One of the reasons this program works for me...Probably the main reason....Is for the first time in my LIFE......I listened to somebody else.
Enjoy your journey. It's a good one.

Oh...I see you already did a thread on 90 in 90...Well...Get rid of the lazy part and you should do just fine.

All the best
