So very wrong Went to dinner with my best friend (also former drinking partner) tonight. Fearing our friendship would be strained by lack of alcohol I have actually been avoiding her in many ways since finding sobriety mid January. I am so happy to say I had nothing to worry about. We talked about my choice to quit and she was incredibly supportive. It was very cleansing and enjoyable. We laughed, we cried, we reassured one another and rejoiced in our true and very honest friendship. I am so very thankful for the courage and support I receive from all you wonderful people. This journey is so rewarding in so many ways. Grateful is too small a word to describe my appreciation. Always, all ways.....T |
