So On top of a tuff day my sponsor relapsed

Isn't life just one thing after another? I felt so bad but I am not in control. Didn't drink, took my dog for a walk, bought him a bone and got on SR. I pray the best for him but it is tuff. The last few weeks very hard but buiulding my sobriety muscles. And can't get on Southpark for some reason. Guess I'll listen to rock, won't get a bottle. I am sorry for my sponsor

Sorry to hear about your sponsor... this may be an excellent time to be there for him/her.

Wishing you the best.

So let me get this right. Your sponsor relapsed and you are hiding from it?
For this to work it has to be a 2 way street.

(((Fitz)))) - sorry to hear about your sponsor, but very glad to hear you're not letting it drive YOU to drink.

Hugs and prayers,

Amy

Why would you think that? I was just at his place. We all work it. Not hiding, dealing. He has his issues like we all do. I had a sponsor not a perfest person

I just wanted to reinforce what he is saying. Keep your focus on your recovery and let your sponsor know that you'll be there for him when he's ready to come back. That's what my sponsor did and it made me realize I can't have the gifts she gives me if I keep drinking.

Fitz,
That is a tough way to spend his sober equity. Keep your equity.

Something my sponsor said to me a while back that as I think about it applies both ways: "I've sponsored many people over the years and many of them went out. The good thing is that I never had to."

That's really sad to hear. While it's not the end of the world it certainly sucks.

Hey MCF....Sorry to hear that....I was just curious if you had worked through the steps with this sponsor before he went out?

I'm sorry these things can happen, people being people and all. Keep up with your responsibility to live alcohol free, spend some time freeing your mind of attachments and let some everyday wonder to lift your heart. Also give some compassion away to others...smile, remember to smile .

I did steps but restarting or whatever you call it. I will keep working but I guess thats not the right word. Growing, not sure. Just sad. But always hopeful. I will make it. I care to all. My dog is snoring.
