I don't drink. I have no desire to drink. If I drink I can put it down and never desire it again. But all my closest friends are alcoholics. I am making this promise to myself. I AM CUTTING OFF ALL FRIENDSHIPS WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE DRINKING PROBLEMS! IF I SEE THAT A NEW FRIEND HAS A HINT OF A DRINKING PROBLEM I AM CUTTING IT OFF. NO MORE OF THIS.

We all do what we have to do to stay sober. If that is your way of handling your drink problem then you do what is best for you. good luck with your recovery

Thank you. But I don't have a problem drinking. I hardly drink. I just for some reason become close friends with alcoholics. I don't know why. But no more. I don't need the secret drama that they hide. It all comes out in the end.

I was wondering what the reason was, I've allways thought that if a non-work aquaintance can make you upset, it means you care about them, otherwise you wouldn't even think about them anymore.
