Just a feel good thread to help those of us still in the early stages of recovery to see the good things that are ahead if we stay on track :)

Great idea! I got married a month after getting sober 2 years ago, our anniversary is next week. He is my rock and went through hell with me and for me. I have 3 wonderful sons who are so happy to have a sober mom. Normality is a wonderful thing. Little things like having dinner at the table with my family every night are priceless to me now.

Like most I was lost, miserable and when I gave up alcohol it was like I was walking away from the greatest love of my life and my heart literally broke at the thought of losing that relationship. It is like a stalker tho..it stalks you for a long time. And its still watching...but I dont notice so much anymore :) I am SO glad I kicked it to the curb!
