The Broken Road
The Broken Road
4 weeks ago today I was blindsided and stopped dead in my tracks. Though it took me three more days of drowning my sorrows to come to terms with the situation, I did. And what I thought/felt was the most humiliating hour of my life - in retrospect, was a necessity and a blessing in disguise.
I've quit wine-ing, whining, and wallowing. I've actually started living. I do thank God for the broken road that lead me straight to you, SR - my wonderful, encouraging "family". I am humbled and more than grateful.
Hugs,
Tammi

Amen. SR has helped me more than doing it alone. I saw myself, my struggles, my pain in others posts. I drew strength from not being alone. Hope that I could overcome this destructive disease. I felt hopeless for so long, relapsing, failing again & again. I thought I would never get out of my pit.
Now I'm on day 25, AM happy w/ out booze, full of hope. Looking forward to my new sober life.
I can think clearly, appreciate the brokenness that brought my to wholeness.
Thank you to all who post & help others, you do so whether you know it or not

Nonblondechef,
What a pleasure to read your post! I am so glad that you are sober and happy. It really does open up a lot of opportunities and hope, doesn't it? And it only gets better! Take care and forge ahead!
