Oh God. How could I let this happen
Hi Soberred,
Really sorry to hear about your relapse, you got 6 months up that is something to be proud of. This time around you will have to do it differently I suppose to ensure that you don't relapse again.
Early in my sobriety I would list to recoverybroadcast and especially the talks on relapsing, it was my biggest fear. I did everything I could to stop picking up a drink.
We are here for you, you are not alone.

I have had my share of slips too, please know that you are NOT a failure because you stumbled. I let guilt keep me drinking for years at a time, until I learned to forgive myself for making a mistake. Please don't be to hard on yourself, forgiving our mistakes is part of the healing process...it is only then that we can move forward.
You are not alone

Six months is an impressive accomplishment, your relapse does not negate that. I know how disappointed and scared you feel, it is a hard thing to deal with. Beating yourself up accomplishes nothing. I cried about Whitney too, it was a profound sadness in my heart. I am inspired by your ability to reach out after your slip and express your raw emotions.
You are very brave.
You deserve to feel at peace with yourself.
You are never alone.
You are stronger than you feel, and more loved than you know.
xoxo
