Every Get Self Pity? I did this morning and snapped at my puppy. He gave me the saddest look and I had to take a look at myself and where I was. Why would I pity myself for being sober? It is such a dis-ease. We made up and played fetch. So much better to be awake and aware I need to look in my edogs eyes or mirror daily My best to all as always |
Absolutely never(sarcasm)! Sometimes it's a sick kind of comfort for me. It is not healthy though. I can at least recognize when I'm doing it and do something positive. Dogs are very forgiving, thank goodness. God bless. |
It's okay to get on our pity pot, once & awhile. But you gotta remember to flush when you're done! :) Chin up Fitz. Cut yourself some slack. We all deserve to be happy! |
Oh yeah, I've been known to have a little pity party many a time. The good news is, I've learned that I can set a time limit, as in "fine, feel sorry for yourself, lay in the bed and think about all that's wrong in your life, but you only have 2 hours, then get back to gratitude". Don't know WHY it works, or why I'm actually able to stick to the time frame (sometimes it's a couple of days) but I get sick of feeling sorry for myself, so that does help. Hugs and prayers, Amy |
Yea better and pup played thanks |
I pity myself for all kinds of reasons but never for not being able to drink anymore. That truly feels like a blessing. I actually do like a PP and give myself a time limit on feelings of self-pity though. That helps a lot. |
