First Meeting! Done
 

Well, I finally took the plunge. I went to my very first meeting as a newcomer today at 8pm. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Really made the experience all the better. I went up and introduced myself quickly and got a hug and my newcomer chip. Listened to some good discussion from various speakers. And at the end I got 4 phone numbers from some really nice guys. One who lives just around the corner from me and the other who just celebrated his 8th Birthday. Really encouraging. And was given a newcomer packet and a big book, funny thing is I just sat down to page through it, and its in Spanish. Whats even funnier is I am a total white guy, haha. I guess I will have to exchange it. Was invited to another meeting tomorrow, I am confident I will go. Good experience. Don't know why I waited so long. :)

That was my thinking! I could have avoided a lot of pain and misery if I had only taken some action sooner.

Awesome 2bstrong. I also went to my first meeting this weekend in the town I just moved to. I took to liking it as much as you did! Going tonight for my third meeting. I'm just going to keep going back! You do the same :) We can do this together! hugs!
