Hi everyone. I'm still sober. My mother has been sick, I had posted some time ago about it. So I've been reading but I havent had much time to post. My mom has a recurrence of Breadt cancer.9 years later it's in her lungs, throat and a spot on her bone. I'm devastated. Staying strong and sober for her now.

Thank you all, I have had many strong urges to drink on several evenings. At those times I have read some stories on the site and they have really helped me. It is still a daily fight for me. I thought going out to eat with family or friends would be hard, but that was actually easier then the evenings alone where I am filled with thoughts of my poor Mom. But doing it, one day at a time.
