Met people here that are family, it really helps and means a lot. I try to give to others too. I think it is about give and take in my addiction it was all taking. Helped someone start her car today, sounds silly but it felt good to be useful

Good on ya, Fitz!!! Yes, you are among family here. I feel that way myself. And helping others is so important for our sobriety. Giving of ourselves to others helps us too. And the better we feel about ourselves, the more likely we are to stay sober.

I appreciate your posts too fitz and actually everyone that replied to your thread just now hehe I think it's so great that you are learning more about yourself and enjoying helping others. I helped someone the other day and it totally lifted me up.

no, it doesnt sound silly. I was at the grocery store today and there was a stray puppy running all over the parking lot and everyone was trying to catch him....i got down on my knees and reached out my arms and the puppy came running right to me!! I seriously almost began crying, lol. I am 33 days sober today....i can totally appreciate the sense of usefullness. Made me feel like i mattered. Hope you have a great night!
