Well I am still here, thank God. Today is day 4 and I am still shaky but the fog is lifting. I need to finish a term paper for my finals by Sunday so I am going to try to work on that today; sure do have my work cut out for me. Had I been working on it and not drinking I would be better off. Oh well, I will manage. I need to get to the store today as well. I used to find it very inconvenient that the two liquor stores in this town were on opposite ends from me; today I find it a blessing. Best to stay away from such areas until I am strong enough to do so. I can manage to get what I need without going there. I just wanted to say hi, and let you know I am ok.

To get my mountain of work done, but still keep some balance, I'm setting a timer and working in a focused manner for 45 minutes then doing something else away from my computer for 15 minutes.

Make yourself a list before you go to the store and then only purchase what is on the list.

Good advice unentschieden, thank you. Things do seem a little overwhelming at the moment. I believe I can commit 45 minutes at a time to my paper. Thank you.

If 45 minutes is too much, you can always do 15. Breaks are important - Don't let yourself get burnt out. Great job staying sober!
